Student Profile:

Like many of our students, James took his IGCSEs over a period of three years emerging at the end with passes in Agriculture A*, Environmental Management A*, Business Studies A*, Accounting A, Maths B, Physics C, Biology C and English C. He then went on to do the Royal Horticultural Society Diploma in Horticulture - again by correspondence course. With the aid of his accounting and business studies, he then set up his own horticultural contracting business and now has substantial contracts from organizations such as the Duchy of Cornwall and the Environmental Trust as well as having his own lease on land to farm.

Natasha studied for IGCSEs with Little Arthur over a period of two years obtaining Environmental Management A*, Accounting A*, History A, Maths A, Biology B, English C, Physics C and French D. She then went on to study,via distance learning, for A-levels in Maths, English, Accounting and Art whilst working part-time . On completion of her studies, she then applied to university and was offered a place at Reading to study Accounting and Economics proving that home education is no barrier to higher education and that universities are happy to accept students with Cambridge International GCSEs.
